Volunteer Opportunities
Festival of Trees
Festival of Trees is a fun and festive way to get into the spirit of the season! This annual holiday tradition takes place the first weekend in December. Event Committee volunteers assist with planning in the months leading up to the festival, and festival helpers participate on-site during the event with such tasks as set up, decorating, greeting guests, event breakdown, and more! Learn more about Festival of Trees here.
Board of Directors
Board members participate in policy and governance, organizational oversight and decision-making, monitoring of finances, and oversight of the President/CEO. Members attend monthly meetings where they contribute their professional expertise in service of the people we serve. They also act as advocates and ambassadors by representing the organization in the public and assisting with fundraising.
Committees
There are a number of committees you can volunteer on, depending upon your passions and interests. These include the Human Rights Committee, Fund Development Committee, Special Events Committee, Community Advisory Committee, and others.
Office Help
We are always seeking friendly faces to help out in our Durango office answering phones, greeting people and doing light administrative tasks a few hours per week. Schedule is flexible!
